The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is a 77-acre naturalistic habitat facility that is home to thousands of animals representing hundreds of diverse species. Committed to education, research and wildlife conservation, the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is actively involved in 19 Special Survival Plans and proudly exhibits 38 endangered species. Major naturalistic habitats at the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium include: Kids Kingdom (children’s zoo) the Aquarium, the Asian Forest, the African Savanna (featuring two baby elephants), the Tropical Forest Complex (primate house, Cheetah Valley, Bears and Niches of the World (reptile house).
